How does adding a non-existent section of dual carriageway "align" the geometry of the junction?
Unless TfL have installed a physical barrier between carriageways very recently, the only separation between the traffic island at the junction with Woolwich New Road and the crossing island at the traffic lights is by painted road markings.
Is there a TomTom originated MapRoulette challenge actually asking users to tag for the router by adding dual carriageways where no physical separation exists?

Hi rskedgell,
We closely reviewed your feedback. I extended the dual carriageway between the two traffic islands to improve recognition and routing experience and felt that this edit was accommodated within this exception to the dual carriageway mapping conventions described on the OSM wiki: “If a road contains any of the non-appropriate elements for some short distance, but is still separated by a physical obstruction along other parts of the road in the vast majority of its length, then the road can continue to exist as a dual carriageway for the moment.” However, based on your feedback I will revert my edit.
I would very much appreciate your opinion on when this exception applies, so that we can make sure our future edits align with community expectations. Thank you!
