In my GPX log the trail runs here now. I also saw this in someone else’s WikiLoc route. But I’ve also seen Wikiloc tracks that follow the original OSM path, so I’m not 100% sure.

This shortcut trail doesn’t seem to exist. The normal trail is the one on the right (via the bridge). We took the bridge even in November (when not during monsoon).
