OpenStreetMap

Jean Bully

Mapper since:
April 11, 2012

I got involved with OpenStreetMap in 2012 in Haiti. Since then I started to map all my area including my mom’s home town. As a newbie I was the first one to trace the road and upload trace to Labadie Beach (one of the most attractive areas in Haiti). OSM is now my favorite hobby and it is now a part of all aspects of my activities. Field missions, JOSM trainings and road classifications are the things that I do like to do the most. I am also getting good experiences in Android mobile applications for OSM like OSMAnd, OSMTracker, Vespucci, and Maverick. I’ve been involved with the HOT activities, currently working in the mapping and training program CAP103 in Northern Haiti where we are training 60 local youth to the secrets of OSM.

I feel that I have only just started with OSM and look forward to different OSM-related activies in the future. Feel free to contact me for any mapping or training activity! I speak Haitian Creole (native), French and English y un poco de espanol.
