I am mostly interested in geofiction. I use the OSM toolset for this hobby.

I started drawing online maps of fictional places at the website opengeofiction.net, where for several years I volunteered as a site admin. I still do mapping there.

In 2020, I built my own “rails port” and OSM-based infrastructure for an imaginary planet called Arhet, imitating the OpenGeofiction model.

In August, 2021, I took over hosting and lead technical support for the OpenGeofiction site, since the founders of the site wanted to step aside, and I’d demonstrated sufficient ability with my Arhet project.

I am a California-born citizen of planet Earth. Aside from the US, I have lived abroad for a substantial portion of my life, including 3 years cumulative in Latin America (Mexico and Chile) and 12 years cumulative in South Korea; I have traveled to 30 countries, speak Spanish fluently, and have moderate competence in Korean. For the last 5 years, I’ve made my home in Southeast Alaska.
