Mapping and Geoprocessing Course with QGIS (online / 100% Free)

Thank you for sharing. The course is helt in Portuguese or in English?

Should we have different layers in OpenStreetMap editors?

Remark: Editors like EveryDoor and StreetComplete are doing exactly this. (But it doesn’t prevent newbies to tag a house instead of creating a POI.)

Weekly-OSM gendert.

First Diary Entry [Test]

I also read your post as I am subscribed to English diaries per rss. There are not too many posts, and I like the content here where people usually write about their projects. I find it more interesting than the flood of short messages on social media. But from your questions, you could be interested in osm.town - the Mastodon instance with focus on OpenStreetMap.

Every beginning is difficult

Hi Robert and welcome onboard! Don’t worry, you will get into it. Beginning with StreetComplete is a good starting point. And before learning Vespucci I recommend to take a look at the app EveryDoor.

Some musings on meet-ups

I simply use the “share” button on osm.org. It gives you something like: https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=48.84639&mlon=2.33315#map=19/48.84639/2.33315 which can also be shortened on the page into https://osm.org/go/0BOdwJ7x9?m= For more complex scenarios, you can use uMap: https://umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/map/untitled-map_953620#20/48.85001/2.28015 Or you can simply share a “geo”-link, so that the recipient can use its application of preference: geo:40.68924,-74.04455?z=17

Roundabout in MI, USA

Somehow I could not see the result picture without a google account, so for those who are curious and also have problems to see the picture here - https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/42.33343/-85.50265

Back at OSM

I can recommend OsmAnd. As OSM contributor you receive free map downloads via the OpenStreetMap plugin.

Speed Limits

Great job, and welcome!

On-demand bus services

Hey. Interesting post. Are you writing about “Anruf Sammeltaxis” or MOIA? Even though technically counting as bus services, for me that’s nothing I would map. I understand OpenStreetMap to list things you can actually see out there, so no zones of operations like taxi, car/bike sharing our delivery services.

OSM Relatify: OpenStreetMap public transport made easy

I am also very curious! Got a relation load failed - 500 error for now, though. Would be great to list the relations that are in current view to get users started easier.

CNG (Erdgas) Tankstellen darstellen

Hervorragend!

CNG (Erdgas) Tankstellen darstellen

CNG (Erdgas) Tankstellen darstellen

CNG (Erdgas) Tankstellen darstellen

Can i get some help with adding these damn buildings in Montreal?

Hello. Have you tried JOSM and the building extension? https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/JOSM/Plugins/BuildingsTools

Aplicaciones para mejorar el mapeo en terreno

OsmAnd link was wrong, here the correct one

Aplicaciones para mejorar el mapeo en terreno

Cool, I did not know about SCEE and switched from StreetComplete. Thank you for passing on this information. By the way, Vespucci is a full featured editor (for experts), and OsmAnd has an editing plugin. The wiki also lists OSM go! and Go Map!!

Baumdaten in Berlin abgleichen

OpenStreetMap + Public Transportation Route

I really like the way iD has implemented mapping of public transport. Here is a good tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPvIGCfrrBo
