York micro mapping do

Well, up to now my mapping has been pretty well all by myself. Saturday though I joined a couple of others at York for an afternoon mapping. I might have missed a couple of details, but I think I, about, completed the block surrounded by Bishopthorpe Rd, Scarcroft Rd, Nunnery Lane and Tadcaster Rd. A return trip will be in order to map the flats within St Benedict Rd.

It was good to see how others do things, not seen the synchronise images with a gpx trace. Very useful.

Shame the servers have been down, I still have a couple of traces to upload from today.

Mapping Ryedale, North Yorkshire

I feel I'm starting to get to grips with the whole mapping thing now. Up till recently I've been using a borrowed NaviGPS, but I now have my own Genie GT31. I'm very pleased with this so far.

I'm continuing to map the unclassified roads local to me, before I return to add more detail later.
