I used to be barny1, and before that barny (lost passwords, wasn’t able to recover) - so despite appearances of this profile I’ve been on OSM for quite a while now :-)

Since starting mapping on openstreetmap in 2007, I have moved from collecting traces of my local area by bike, to now mapping by a combination of some local knowledge with tracing from Bing - one particular obsession I have is to help make openstreetmap more representative of the topology and features by the landscape by mapping drystone walls which have always represented a significant feature of Yorkshire where I was born and grew up. Also I have a an experimental mapping project to represent some areas of Yorkshire sheep-by-sheep. You may think I’m kidding - I say that’s goats you’re thinking off, mate.
