Cool. Should it change I'll quite happily clobber it back to trunk inside Sussex - makes more sense based on my knowledge of the road anyway. Good idea about the note= btw :-)

I'm probably one of the people you're talking about; setting it back to primary, working on the basis that the A272 had white signs, but I'd always considered it to be around trunk status in importance/traffic. I had meant to check with WSCC myself, so thanks for this.

Does this mean it's now definitively "trunk"? (or, at least the bit in West Sussex).
