Conflicts

Conflict is a word in the English language. It refers to a situation where two things appear to contradict one another or disagree in some way.

Conflict also has a particular specialised meaning in version control systems. That isn't relevant here. Conflict may have another specialised meaning in other areas. They also aren't relevant, unsurprisingly.

Going back to what chilly said: It isn't an unreasonable suggestion to double-check your data against the existing data _before_ uploading it rather than afterwards.

OSM Xml scripting

Erm, the wiki page says:

"The segments in the way must go around the roundabout in the direction the traffic flows, but there is no need to tag them as oneway=*. "

And:

"Implies

* oneway=yes "

Seems fairly sensible to me - roundabouts normally work like that, so why tag it twice?

Or have a misunderstood what you were saying?

Switzerland's 4 Vallées

Trouble is you want solid lines of different colours for the pistes, which might not fit in well with a general purpose render. Might be well suited to Kosmos, where you could add in shading and generate your piste map to taste.
