Avid driver, explorer, and overlander. I am interested in creating accurate maps of areas i frequent, and using maps for trips I have planned in the future. I edit my local area based on info i gather when physically driving an area based on the following scheme:

Primary roads - Usually paved highways, but may be large high-grade gravel roads connecting areas of significance that are more often traveled.

Secondary roads - paved or unpaved back roads connecting primary roads, or other locations of significance. Usually well maintained throughout the year.

Tertiary roads - Usually unpaved back roads connecting secondary roads. Maintenance intervals may vary throughout the year.

Service roads - smaller dirt or gravel roads that lead to POIs, or logging/industry roads that do not fall into any of the above categories. Maintenance intervals may vary throughout the year.

Minor unclassified - Small roads that do not fit into any of the above categories. May not be regularly maintained. Still accessible by most vehicles depending on season.

Track - 4x4 or offroad vehicle access only
