This is a data import that violates our import guidelines because it was neither first discussed on the relevant mailing list (i.e. the imports mailing list), nor is it (and the permission that was granted according to http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Jotam/diary/35579) properly documented on the Wiki. The next time you do an import, please discuss it beforehand; and in this instance, please pop in to lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/imports and explain where you got the data from, what form the permission took, and what, if any, rules you applied when importing.

This was my first import into OSM, so thanks for the advice on how to do it more according to community standards next time. I will take the time to explain more of it on the imports mailing list. Thanks!

The water wells are still in the OSM database. Should not they be removed?

Comment from Jotam
Why should they? The quality of the data is very good and the import was accepted more than 8 years ago.

Sorry. I did not see that you proceeded to a respectful import afterwards. Congrats!
