Hi!
I noticed the change back and forth on the Wikipedia tag...
The natural:wikipedia=* key is the only one of its kind in the whole world. The well established wikipedia=* key would lead users to the appropriate article on wikipedia when walking along that trail. The current tagging does not have any value for people as this key is not considered in any software.
Please let the rest of the community know your intention / idea behind this tagging. Otherwise it will constantly be changed again and will make you and others unhappy.
All the best,

I think the article doesn't fit in the wikipedia main tag for this object. I thought to remove it (It has been added by a student who recognized the type of rock described) but I found it useful so I decided to keep it with a prefix.
The wiki article isn't about the particular rock in this point but about some kind of sediments of middle Italy area.
Just to explain: if this rock here had a name and a wiki article dedicated to it, I would have put it as a primary wikipedia tag.
I think all this conforms to the osm wiki (see Secondary Wikipedia links).

Maybe I am the first to use this tag or perhaps this is not the first time http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/R0bst3r removes it? -

I'm thinking a little more on this. Maybe it would be better to use a specific rock=* subtag and than use rock as prefix for wikipedia. This should work.
I'm also looking at the geological=outcrop tag...seems i need to take a look at this thing to see if it really worth -

Hello again and thanks for the feedback! Although you are technically not wrong, I am always thinking of OSM as a database and how it can be put to use in the best way for everybody. There are thousands of well established keys out there and, although it is allowed, inventing new keys is (at least in my eyes) not the best way to solve such a problem. The way it is tagged does not do anything good for anybody (therefore I do understand R0bst3r's intention). But I have to admit, I have no idea to perfectly tag it :-). I would probably use the regular wikipedia=* tag (to enable other people to at least use the information) and include a comment in the description. Ciao!
