Hi Haack70,
I'm contacting you about the following feature that you introduced with this changeset: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/451757219
You have entered access restrictions for ski, snowmobile and horse. I wonder what you source for these restrictions is, since there are no additional restrictions posted on location. So to my opinion the same restrictions apply as the cycling path to which this path should have been connected.
Can you elaborate on that?
Keep up the happy mapping!
Cheers,

Hi Dikkeknodel,
maybe I missunderstood the access restrictions meaning. There is no restriction sign (as you have seen it) but for sure the path is not usable for ski or horse as it is much too steep. That was the intension of adding these restrictions.
Cheers,

Hi Haack70,
The tags foot=*, bicycle=*, horse=* etc. should be used for legal acces restrictions, not for suitability to use them. See the following wiki page:
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:access
There are different tags to be used for suitability. Horse riding suitability can be entered with horse_scale=*, you can read more on:
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Riding#horse_scale_describing_the_difficulty_of_the_way
Hiking difficulty uses sac_scale=*, Mountain bike difficulty uses mtb:scale=*
Keep up the happy mapping :-).

One of the only exceptions is the wheelchair=* tag, which is supposed to describe if something is accessible for wheelchair users.

Thanks for correcting! Too many OSM options for tagging...

Haha, yes indeed. That's why I generally stick to hiking and cycling features, because I am familiar with them and leave horse riding and the like to others :-).
