Hello... I may have been a tad heavy on the road classification but you went all the way in the other direction and removed any notion of highway hierarchy in the whole area. I strongly dissent: at least the ways that are dual-carriageways with central reservation must be distinguished from the surrounding ways - they should be at least tertiary. It may look odd compared to the old town nearby to the east, but this new development has a structure that we must reflect into the map.

Okay, that all sounds reasonable. I'll revert my changes. Thanks for adding to the map!

On the other hand, I agree that these ways stick out like a sore thumb compared to their surroundings. Maybe only the dual carriageways should be promoted. I hope that more recent imagery will help make better sense of the road network - I have yet to identify the main links from Tivaoune Peul to the main road to the south. I would like to say I'll ask locals but few of them venture to these far-flung suburbs of Dakar.

So, https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/51165151 walked back some of my overenthusiastic highway=tertiary tagging in that new development - only keeping the structural links between the large roundabouts. The others I had tagged as highway=tertiary may be more important than the average highway=residential but highway=tertiary unbalanced the network.
