Hi-
A couple more tips. In the editor, you can hold down the "alt" key on the keyboard while adding a point to avoid connecting the new point to an existing feature.
There is also a "square" operation that can be used to help line up building footprints. It is available in the right click context menu when a feature is selected (the square icon) and can also be activated by pressing "s" on the keyboard.
Happy mapping,
Max
