Hello WhosThisThen.
In this changeset, you've changed the sections of cycle path along Reading Road in Winnersh to be footways with the comment "many sidewalks and pedestrian road crossings were incorrectly listed as cycle paths."
They are clearly marked with the blue cycle path signs so are cycleways. They are also generally wide, and are listed on the Wokingham Borough Council's websites as cycleways (e.g. http://www.myjourneywokingham.com/discover-wokingham/cycling/cycling-on-the-a329-corridor/). They are also part of National Cycle Network 422.Could you revert your change please?

What was previously listed as cycle paths and I changed to sidewalks are in fact sidewalks.
The cycle paths are actually cycle lanes in the road themselves - different to the pavements. I intend to add the cycle paths to their correct position in the next day or so.

Hello.
I've regularly cycled along these cycle paths. There are short sections, around the traffic lights, e.g. https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/443861704, where cyclists are instructed to dismount, but the rest are shared use paths marked with the blue circular sign. One of the goals of the "Wokingham Cycleway" section of the NCN422 was to widen the existing shared use cycle paths to 3 metres and add 1.5 metre wide cycle lanes as well - the latter for more confident cyclists. Therefore there are long stretches with both cycle path and cycle lane. The plans are here: https://web.archive.org/web/20170819153630/http://www.wokingham.gov.uk/parking-road-works-and-transport/road-works-and-road-closures/major-road-projects-document-library/?categoryesctl91f252ff-550d-4cfa-a838-92ef2cb5f83c=6906&p=2 (click "download" for each) and you will clearly see that the pavements are shared use paths.

Hello again.
This link will be better: http://www.wokingham.gov.uk/parking-road-works-and-transport/road-works-and-road-closures/a329-cycleway/
As you can see, the council refers to the paths as "cycleways"."Current project status
From 2014 to 2016 we completed phases 1, 2 and 3, which involved creating a cycleway between the Three Tuns and just beyond Winnersh Crossroads. This part of the carriageway has been reorganised to make better use of the space available. By removing the unused space in-between the 2 lanes, we have been able to provide on carriageway cycle lanes.
As part of the process, we have also widened and resurfaced the footways to allow us to convert them into dual purpose footways/cycleways that are now wide enough to be safely shared by pedestrians and less confident cyclists."

The project leaflet, http://www.wokingham.gov.uk/parking-road-works-and-transport/road-works-and-road-closures/major-road-projects-document-library/?assetdet91f252ff-550d-4cfa-a838-92ef2cb5f83c=446237&categoryesctl91f252ff-550d-4cfa-a838-92ef2cb5f83c=6906, says that the existing shared use paths will be retained as well as the cycle lanes added.
