Hi fvk.
I was there 3 weeks ago and people says to me that Schneeberg is name of mountain and Klosterwappen is name of hihest peak.
Here is one map from Edelweishutte
http://www.segi.wz.cz/tmp/Klosterwappen.jpg
And I check it on wikipedia
"The Schneeberg, with its 2,076-metre (6,811 ft) high summit Klosterwappen, is the highest mountain of Lower Austria,.."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schneeberg_(Alps)
If it is wrong, then I don't understand why on guideposts is Klosterwappen instead Schneeberg? (I didn't made pictures of its) -

All that you write is correct, but it's normal to label the peak with the name of the mountain, and that's "Schneeberg". That's the common name, and it has been for centuries. Almost everyone in Austria knows the Schneeberg, but few know Klosterwappen. I've only seen that name in writing, never ever heard it in speech. It is only used to distinguish the peak from nearby places such as Fischerhütte or Kaiserstein. Note that the map from Edelweißhütte also says "Schneeberg" above the Klosterwappen, because many people would't know what Klosterwappen is.
Compare that to other mountains, e.g. on the Ötscher there are guideposts to "Ötschergipfel" which means "peak of Ötscher". Those guideposts don't indicate that "Ötschergipfel" is the common name of the peak. They're just meant to be unambiguous.
Also be aware that external sources contain mistakes. E.g. according to the map from Edelweißhütte, the elevation of Kuhschneeberg is 1497 (correct: 1557), and they confused Großer Sattel with Niederer Hengst. Wikipedia is even worse, because all they do is paraphrasing information from elsewhere.
