Hi
why is there a string of html type text in the description tag on Sassafras Creek? -
Comment from aharvey
Looks like that goes back to older versions of the way https://osmlab.github.io/osm-deep-history/#/way/238028224

OK, it displays ok on the deep history page so might as well be left as is I suppose.
greyim,
I noticed a small section of stream along Sassafras Creek that needs splitting and the name added https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/579710816#map=18/-41.57870/146.34979 -

It shouldn't display like that though https://github.com/osmlab/osm-deep-history/issues/19.
Either way the data in the description means nothing so we should remove it. I am wondering where this data was originally imported from though, since we can't use the CC BY license tasLIST data I suspect it might have come from.

Agreed.
Greyim was at the start of the edit history so might shed some light. -

PLANACC in an html like string seems endemic in Tassie
Run this...(6Mb)

Likely a big hydro data import years ago. -

Hi folks... sorry my edits may be a bit odd.. many the streams I added a ways back from Geoscience Aust 1:250000 which I understand is a legit source... however they are quite low res and in many places better Bing traces have been made by various contributors. This sassafras stream being one such. However tree cover affects trace accuracy to so hence some odd pieces which could be improved upon. I noticed alot of the Geosci streams were deleted a few years back, it's a problem, low res, but I think better than nothing in remoter places. Acknowledging there's the opposite view ! Thanks for help very appreciated

The html in the description I think comes from fields in the geosci data, some of which also use capitals. At present displays like mapnik simply ignore these so if they were removed somehow it wouldnt matter?
