Hi,
welcome to OpenStreetMap.
I appreciate your effort on adding important details for pedestrians. It is a lot of work but it can be helpful for pedestrians
However, the sidewalks you added are currently only useful as eye-candy. They cannot be/are not used by any routing software because they are not connected to each other and connections to the road network are also missing. Pedestrians using this sidewalk network cannot even change the side of a street because there is no connection between the sidewalks. It is not even possible to turn left/right at an intersection because the two sidewalks don't share a node.
Could you please improve your sidewalks? There are two options:
(1) Add the missing connections at all intersections, add intersection nodes where ever any other street crosses the sidewalk and add a common node where to sidewalks intersect. Please don't forget to map the crossing nodes (highway=crossing + crossing=*) and don't forget to add footway=sidewalk to all sidewalks. Look at Graz, Austria or any other well mapped city as an example (e.g. https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/47.58560/-122.30852).
(2) Delete all the sidewalks and just add sidewalk=* to the street. Use sidewalk=left if there is only a sidewalk on the left side, sidewalk=rigth if it is only on the right side, sidewalk=both if both sidewalks exist and sidewalk=none if no sidewalks exist. Please note that the sidewalk=* tag is not used by almost all map styles, i.e. many OSM based maps won't show them any more. However, it is in the data and I suspect that there are applications using it.
It would be a real pity if all your sidewalks would lie around in the database without anyone being able to use them properly.
Best regards
Michael
