Changeset: 62268306
I've reverted my edit, I've changed the stadium complex back into "stadium" tag, the interior building as "building". Can anyone confirm if this is the right way?

Yes, it is now according to the wiki, equivalent to other complexes such as university campuses.

hallo stadiaarcadia,
I just got around to reading your private message to me about this area.
I am taking the liberty to reply in public, so this is visible to others who can contribute and correct me as needed. I prefer keeping useful info as public as possible.
.
The problem you described here has been taken care of by muralito in what appears to be a wide-ranging changeset.
.
What you want/need to learn, is the concept of a multipolygon, with an outer member, and an inner ring.
That will allow you to punch holes in buildings like here, or to cut out the inner part of an athletics track, for example.
.
I think that is what you want to know, and also may help you with the one note somewhere in the US - Atlanta maybe? - that I marked as resolved without analysing the aerial imageries.
.
If you need further explanation, a followup here is probably as good as any - I read Notes and changeset comments far more than I bother with non-public messages. -

Yes, that is the thing I can't figure out how I can fix it, those inner rings. How can I "cut out" a part of the building for example, so that the football pitch and the building don't overlap? Here I have the same problem for example: https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/62353609 If I know how I can fix this, I'm going to fix it ofcourse :) I've tried to find it on Wiki OSM, but I couldn't figure it out.

I don't really get the concept of a multipolygon. I've read something about out, but I didn't fully understand (sorry, English is not my first language).

A sports field tag and a stadium tag should overlap, a sports field tag and a building tag shouldn't overlap, that's how it works right?

i know your default editor, iD, has problems managing some types of relations (try searching that), but i am unclear if the multipolygon is one of them.
.
there is a very active dutch forum available; you may be able to get the best advice for you there in what i assume your Muttersprache, from mappers who may miss your questions on the mailing lists. otherwise the site help.osm that was suggested earlier may be helpful, though personally i have not found it worth bookmarking.
.
i am afraid with the editor i use, i cannot give advice on how to create a multipolygon that you would find useful. and again, i can"t say anything about josm and if work there is easier.
.
a sports field can be overlapped by a building, but strictly, it would be overlapped by a roof, or a level=1-or-greater building part. however the details are part of advanced mapping far beyond what i have bothered with. if the arena is entirely enclosed, then it is legit to have no more than the building outline.
.
the duke university field you left a bug-report at is a good example of where - were the track to still be intact - the upper level of stands would overlap the original track, so those stands would be useless for following the activity on the track directly below, but not for the presumably better-attended footie skirmishes. -

Thank you for the information freebeer.

I've added a multipolygon, because the field was not visible because of stadium tag overlapping. Can anyone please confirm if the multipolygon was added the right way? https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/62510357
