Pram mount for GPS

Posted by IrlJidel on 23 June 2009 in English.

Now that I'm the proud father of a baby girl :-) I wont be doing much mapping over the summer. I should be spending evenings walking a lot in our local area so I'll see if my bike mount will fit on the pram ;-) I've mapped most of the obvious features in my local area so I think I'll spend the time adding house numbers.

Anyone recommend a small cheap pen-sized Dictaphone that I could use when walking around?

Congratulations!

I use my mobile phone - does yours have this feature? If not, there are some cheap MP3 players that offer recording. Don't know how suitable they would be as a dictaphone, but might be worth looking at.

I've used a cheap MP3 player (~$25 Phillips one) and the audio recording is fine for OSM use. Just take note that they don't do any timestamps (that I'm aware of) so you'll need to manually align the audio or mark waypoints and make the recording something like "waypoint 25: Smith Street".

Congratulations, I have had the same idea, but uneven cobblestone is not very pram friendly, my son is now over 1 year old, so he can soon be walking with me, that gives me the opertunity to take paper notes while walking. Started to take notes on some of the asphalt paved roads though
