There's something wrong with the revert tool, e.g. https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/540424027/history lost almost half of its tags, e.g. website. I checked some other nodes, and they all had similar issues.

So the revert tool works as designed here... will continue the discussion over at Github.

Yes, I tried to revert a few changesets in this area, but unfortunately I had issues with the second one. I think I'd better leave this task to others.
There may also have been conflicts when reverting, because if I saw it correctly, a revert changeset was also open in parallel from someone else ... please see here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/143134485

osmtools and osm-revert (from the testing so far) are compatible with each other and can run just fine in parallel :-)

Any changeset-based revert tools is likely to fail, because changets with different vandalism can occur in parallel. See https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/8400884853/history

I've just reverted a number of nodes in https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/143204094 . Can anyone who gets a chance have a look and see if any nodes in that changeset are misplaced? The nodes of e.g. https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/5051304 no longer seem to be. My changeset doesn't address everything in this changeset, because it's one in a series. https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/8400884853/historyhttps://www.openstreetmap.org/node/8400884853/history has so far not yet been done.

Also, _please_ use meaningful changeset comments, rather than just some hashtag. I can see that there is a "revert:id" in the changeset tags, but what would be useful to know would be how you identified and what needed to be reverted, what remains not yet reverted.
