Hi,
it's nice to see that you put a lot of effort in mapping destinations. Unfortunately, there is nobody who can use this data, because your tagging style is not documented and used only by you. Why don't you join the common tagging scheme which is successfully used thousands of times all over the world?Jan

The System and the whole scheme is not ready to put it in the wiki so work is in progress. I am mapping complete traffic signs (not only destination traffic signs), but also destinations (which has a clearer scheme) so the actual scheme is getting too little and simple. Traffic signs are being rendered by Kendzi3D plug-in from JOSM. And I hope your system will render it also (the project is about 8000+ kinds of traffic signs from 29 different countries) as you can see at http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/projects/traffic_signs#tags .An also all the information will be available to use it with other tags (like former destination tag).

All the tags listed in this project are well-described in the wiki.
Take the node from this changeset as example: I have absolutely no clue why there is a need to list a single destination 15 times on a simple two-lane road like this.
I strongly suggest to ask the communicty for comments before starting to map so many nodes in such a complicated manner. It would also help if you could provide sample images of the signs you try to map. -

"Then hell break loose" - Just because people remind you on the way things should be done in OSM? Have fun putting tags on nodes - nobody will be able to make any use of them as long as you don't write documentation for it.
