Hi, welcome to OSM.
The correct way to tag a private road is to add the tag access=private rather than simply deleting it from the map.
The presence is useful as a navigational aid and some people will need to route to the farm. By adding private routers will not route along that way.It is also unnecessary to add pointless tags to ways. if it is a footway mapped as a footway it is obvious that motor_vehicles, bikes and horses can't use it.

Hi, thanks for the welcome. Please allow me to explain my edits.
I would normally take your point about unnecessary tags although in my dealings with people on the footpaths on bikes, horses and on one occasion a motorcycle people don't always fully understand the rights of access and I have just been told by one person that it was because it wasn't clearly marked as prohibited on openstreermap that they felt justified in using a footpath as a bridleway, which is why I clarified the useage classes.
The deleted "track" is in fact a gated farmyard which happens to be quite picturesque and I ask that you don't include it on the map as in the past I have had problems with people trying to drive through it when the gates are open because it was marked on Google Earth as a road. This is a place of work with large machinery moving about and I removed it from the map for this reason. I hope you accept my reasons.
Kind regards
