Changeset: 52522951
There is no path there. I walk here regularly and that area is private land and fenced off. Checked at https://maps.bristol.gov.uk/knowyourplace/ and there never was a path here on any historic map or old aerial photo

Hi
Welcome to OSM
Do you know how vehicles get to the camp site? -

Be careful are you sure that there's a licence to use data from KnowYourPlace in OSM.
Even diigitizing and ortho-correcting old maps is likely to generate a new copyrighted product.

Hi,
The road access comes under the railway and there is a gate at the north end of the campsite, roughly a hundred meters north of the bend. The land North of the campsite is under separate ownership, and currently used as a landfill site. There is a planning dispute between the owner of the campsite and the owner of the landfill, details of which are posted on the gate to the landfill, which is alleged to be unlicensed. There is definitely no path linking Station Lane to Boiling Wells. As to KnowYourPlace, I was only consulting copies of C19 maps, which I assume are public-domain by now? But I know copyright is a minefield.I'm confused how the comment from this ended up stuck on unrelated edits. Does the editor default to applying the last comment by default? I think I see how it happened now, but I can't work out how to reopen the changeset to fix it.
Sorry to be a klutz, I probably should have taken it slower on my first attempt.

No worries, you've probably saved people taking a spurious shortcut now.

Hi
For the extent it's accessible by vehicles (up to the farm?) the path would better tagged be tagged as highway=service.
If it's a designated PROW (with signs?) then this tag is appropriate for it's full length. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:designation.
I've added the farm, the only bit I can do from aerial imagery
