You appear to have deleted part of the gazetted boundary of the state forest that runs closely parallel to the right of Barakula Road. If you zoom in close on the Digiglobe imagery you can see a line following the portion you have deleted - possibly a fence line or powerline that is gazetted to be outside of the forestry boundary.

@nevw yes you're right - my guess would be powerline, but I'm not sure. If you look at the source boundary data from Queensland State Government, there are similar such corridors all over the place which aren't part of the OSM data. So this corridor was a bit of an anomaly in that sense.

I prefer to have the lines mapped as they are gazetted. The corridors are outside of the the boundary being mapped and often indicate current or planned infrastructure reserved areas or section that are managed by some entity and mapping the excluded parts is useful information too.
I notice that others like nothing better that too 'tidy up' such bits, but I feel that if you have the geometry in a shapefile or similar then you should enter the boundary into OSM as gazetted. If you are manually adding such data click by click on such a big scale, as I expect much of the earlier info was, then I would think it is not really practical to do so and makes sense to leave the finer details to a latter mapper who has more accurate and complete information and can replace the earlier geometry.
I also feel if someone earlier has added detailed and correct info previously then a later mapper should refrain from deleting it without good reason.
It is mostly in recent years that detailed geometry in the form such as shapefiles is being made available for us to use so that eventually we will end up with a high resolution of the features.
But osm is a collaborative effort by many mappers and my 2c doesn't count for much in such things :)
Keep on mapping.
