Hi there, are you sure the leisure=park is the most appropriate tag for those two big areas you added?

What would you propose? These are areas open to the public with park like features, roads, trails, vistas

lands recently purchased by the local city, county & state government agencies, most people don't know these areas are open to the public

Hi there, thanks for you answer. I was thinking something like leisure=nature_reserve https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:leisure%3Dnature_reserve might be more appropriate.
I'd use the park tag in cases like the New York Central Park or something similar, places where people play on the grass areas. Those instead looks to me a little more wild, that's why I was thinking about a different tag than leisure=park.
That's just my opinion.

Thanks for the heads up! After researching the tags I rejected leisure=nature_reserve since the purpose of these public spaces are not specifically that. I fell upon boundary=protected_area, protect_class=5, protection_title=openspace. This is a photo I took at the heilpad below Oat Mtn while verifying data https://photos.app.goo.gl/zrWwKLzNDiooF1d22
