Hello Fürfelder,
.
In this changeset you have modified the Jerusalem City Municipal Boundary as well as several other boundaries including the Israel country boundary (admin_level=2).
.
Was there any legal announcement from either an Israeli or a Palestinian authority about this change?
.
Best Regards,
Zeev -

Hello Zeev,
the boundary was cluttered with inadequate properties, especially with properties intended for highways.
One property of the boundary was simply nonsense (parling lot). Then there were tags of all sorts of prohibiting traffic signs. Highways have to be tagged with traffic signs, but not boundaries.
Then the course of the boundary was imprecise in the area of the Bethlehem checkpoint. So I've corrected it after I'd passed it personally.
Because of such faults routing in the area of Jerusalem is quite impossible with some apps basing on OSM.
Best regards, Fürfelder -

I'm not asking about any tag changes. I'm asking about the change in the shape and the position of the boundary that was caused by adding https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/5512692697

Again: I experienced the course of the boundary was imprecise in the area of the Bethlehem checkpoint. So I had corrected it after I had my own survey.
But I didn't realize that this is a virtual boundary not fitting the real boundary facilities. However, exact that was the suggestion of all the tags of this boundary.
Finally I have reversed it.
But tell me, what is the source of the mapping of this boundary? What is "MOIN"? -

Thanks for reversing the change.
Clearly there can be a difference between administrative boundaries and physical boundaries.
It looks like the checkpoint was created within the Jerusalem administrative boundaries, just like a customs checkpoint is located within the administrative boundaries of the controlling nation.
"MOIN" stands for Ministry Of INternal affairs. See

and

for more details on this import.
