Hello. Thanks for your contribution. Although its not that big of a deal in this case, in general walking paths shouldn't connect to roads in the middle of the road way since they are not technically part of road and routing someone in a wheel chair or something into the middle of a busy of a street is also bad. Plus the path just ends where it ends.
Instead, there are usually official crossings where the road and path connect like cross walks that can be connected for routing. If a person has to go an extra half a block to route that way, at least its accurate and wont cause problems for the disabled or other people that can't dodge on coming cars easily when they realize they were miss routed into the middle of the road. Thanks

Hi Adamant,
What is the right thing to do in this case? The path simply connects to the parking lot/service road. It is the only access for walking/biking to pass through the parking lot. Thanks

Good question. After looking it over better I think in this particular case your kind of stuck with it. I turned the part going out in the road into an unmarked crossing at least. So that makes it more clear its in the road. I think that helps.
Btw, do you happen to know what the actual name of the Oakland California Temple is? Or is that its official name?
