Hello matx17, please use the key "name" only for real names, not for descriptions.
Additionally do not use wrong key/values combinations to render poi on the map.E.g. https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/5820532600
Thank you! Svalbard

Hello Svalbard, thanks for the information.
What's your suggestion to mark the sign?
In a map I found this description: "Polar bear road sign".

Hello matx17, your remark, that you found "polar bear road sign" in a map brings me to the question: From which map did you take the information and location of the road sign?
The map you have used might have a copyright, so that it is not possible to take this Information into OpenStreetMap.Did you bring other information from this map into OpenStreetMap? Some of your other edits look like this or are you currently in Longyearbyen?
To answer your question: This is a special traffic sign for Svalbard. So this will be the key: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:traffic_sign#Traffic_sign_IDs
Now we need the value for this key. I will look through https://www.vegvesen.no/trafikkinformasjon/langs-veien/trafikkskilt/filnedlasting
if I can find an id.

Hello Svalbard, I saw it on a free tourist map from the hotel.
I was there beginning of the year. I only add things I saw myself and tracked with my GPS tracker.
I set the sign as tourist attraction, as that was it for me.
If not correct, please feel free to change it.
In your link I cannot find the sign.
Here the sign is listed, but without ID:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_signs_in_Norway
Or I just add a viewpoint there?

Hello matx17, I have written an email to vegvesen.no and asked them for an id. As I wrote earlier, the "polar bear road singn" is an official norwegian traffic sign especially for Svalbard. On the other hand it is quite "famous", because every tourist might take a picture of it. But that does not qualify it for a tourist attraction. Let's wait for vegvesen.no's answer ...
Regards Svalbard
