What is your source for changing the name entry from AmericanAirlines and adding a space between?

I know it, because I visited this arena. I've visited hundreds of stadiums and arenas. Here you can also see it for example (although it can't be used as an official source because of copyright): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Airlines_Arena

AmericanAirlines Arena / American Airlines Arena. Both styles are used. I will change it back to the first one if you think that's better. http://www.aaarena.com/ uses the first one (although it can't be used as a source).

I just found it interesting when looking at a resolved note advising it has been changed, that a web search turned up the previous version more than the new name -- and the non-space variant was in use by the stadium's own website and their other social-media.
https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/25312625/history shows that the present version was used in the past history of the item.
As I see both variants in use on a number of different sites, and your first-hand experience contradicts what their own site puts forward, but there is no content difference between the two, my suggestion is to add the other name with documented usage to the alt_name field, so that the stadium is found regardless of which name variant is searched.
.
I do not know which is more correct or preferred, or if the compound AmericanAirlines merely resembles the logo typography, as i use a text-only browser for these things. Unless convinced otherwise (which is easy), I would tend to defer to the official site in this case as authoritative how they write their own name.
.
Also, if I read the referred history correctly, there used to be a name:en= entry as well as name, which is a good idea to preserve here with contents matching name= , as the latter gives no clue as to which language it is, and several applications will treat a specific language entry as special. -

"American Airlines Arena" is by far the most used name for the arena, check Google search results.

The official site also use both styles.
