Hello, i noticed you added this road. Please read the guidelines, you should edit the current data, not create new. This erases valuable data (this road had relations) which you destroyed by moving the end point of the way and adding the road as a "new way".
Will revert this changeset.
If you want to add the bridge and so on, split the existing way. -

from what are you talking??
Please answer my questions:
What guidelines should I reed?
Please link. From what relation are you talking?
Please Link.I do not have deleted any relation in this changeset.
Please give me the link from the relation! And also the adding of a bridge do not delete any relation.
If you cut the road, one part will be a "new way" there is no other option to cut/split a road! Not in Potlatch2, iD or Josm
You reverted the complete changeset. this was not necessary!

regarding your questions:
What guidelines should I reed?
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Good_practice#Keep_the_history
From what relation are you talking?
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Relation
And yes you did delete the relation as the deep history link i already shared proves.
you should stop using Potlatch. iD editor has a relation protection scheme and JOSM gives you warnings before submitting your changeset when you make mistakes like the ones you have.
again it was necessary to completely revert the changeset -
Comment from luschi
you are wrong!
the relation of the road and from the bus was at no time deleted or broken, and so your revert was not legitimate.
Bus:
https://osmlab.github.io/osm-deep-history/#/relation/1905395
Road:
https://osmlab.github.io/osm-deep-history/#/relation/3311217
The history of the shortened road is available if you use correct way:
https://osmlab.github.io/osm-deep-history/#/way/286689022
I readded the bridge.
And NO, I will not stop using Potlatch2 for my edits. -
Comment from NunoCaldeira
well you sent the link to the relation...not the relation in that way. not the same thing.
No worries about Potlatch, it will be take down soon. -

If you are able to cut a way without adding a "new way" you should show me this.
Potlatch2, iD, Josm and other editors are not able to keep history in booth was if I cut the way!
here I have a place where you can show how you will cut a way(road or stream) and keep the history in booth ways:
