April 24, 2017

Retired geographer. Many years have passed since I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in Geography and a Professional Master’s Degree in Planning. On March 31, 2020, I retired from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) –Region IV—after 10 years of service. I enjoy being a contributor to the OpenStreetMap.

Once retired, I decided to contribute in some way to the efforts of those who, without reasons of personal enrichment, contribute to the improvement of data and tools to virtually assist humanitarian and community efforts in different parts of the globe. Currently, I am an active contributor to OpenStreetMap and a volunteer for the USGS National Map Corps (TNMCorps).
