Being a licensed forester, Vince has gained experience in GIS and remote sensing related works. He has been involved in the Crop Estimate Project under the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) as a Remote Sensing Technician and Remote Sensing Specialist. Moreover, he has been a Senior Research Assistant under the Philippine Coral Reef and Mangrove Remote Sensing (PhilCoMaRS) Project of DENR. Recently, he worked as a Junior Research Associate and Senior Science Research Specialist of the UP Resilience Institute and Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards (NOAH) Center. Being involved in these works has enhanced his skills in conducting research and analysis using GIS and remote sensing software like ArcGIS, QGIS, ENVI Classic, ERDAS Imagine, SNAP Desktop, and many more. He has been involved in several disaster risk reduction and management projects of different local government units in the Philippines. He is also currently taking up a Master’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, specializing in remote sensing and photogrammetry in UP Diliman.
